Madam Mapleleaf, October 1604

Dearest Reader,

It pains this author to admit that sometimes, she needs a break from the burden of knowledge.

As you know, keeping this town informed of everyone else’s business is a thankless task. You need to be at every function, talk to every person, and remember everything that was said, all while trying not to die from boredom. One would think, after all these years, that this author might be permitted a month’s rest.

One would be wrong.

This author tried to put her feet up, dear reader, she truly did, but a delicious little morsel was delivered practically to her door. It would have been a crime to let it go to waste, and this author is many things, but she is not a criminal. Mostly.

Now for the good part: It seems our dear Flower, of the Winds of Fortune, has been quite generous with his time this past month, lending aid to adventuring party after adventuring party. Charitable! Selfless!

Or… is it?

Because word has it Flower’s attentions have settled rather firmly on one member of GOST in particular, a certain Rex McNeil. And this author’s sources (who have a very reliable pair of ears) tell her the pair were seen slipping off together toward Lovers Rock.

Together.

Alone.

At night.

To Lovers Rock.

This author will let you draw your own conclusions, though she confesses she has already drawn hers: something is blooming in Maplewood, and it isn’t just the spring flowers.

We, dear reader, could not be more thrilled for Flower, and will be watching him very closely to see if this little bud survives the winter frost.

Yours Truly,
Madam Mapleleaf
